Seashell Alphabet

This is one of my favorite projects so far.
I made this for someone who is getting married next week in the bahamas on the beach.
She loves beach stuff and has a pinterest so I went for something I was almost positive she'd love.
Her house is all beachy and I figured she could use it as decoration.

I made an R for her soon to be new last name.

All you need is:
A wooden letter (got mine at Hobby Lobby)
Hot glue and hot glue gun
seashells (mine were all from the beach, store bought ones are too expensive)
I also bought a starfish to add to it (got it at Hobby Lobby)
Paint

First I painted the wooden letter white because I thought it would look better.  But be my guest to paint it whatever color you want.

I also bought some store bought sand dollars

This is what it looked like as I was placing them

All set just have to glue

And the finished product!!

Definitely one of my favorites!

Quatrefoil (any shape) Canvas picture

Here is another project my mother made.
This was my Valentine's Day present so there was no way I could claim this as part my own this time ;)

All you need is:
Mod Podge
Canvas (any size desired)
Paint Chips (any color desired)

All you have to do is pick out your paint chip colors at Lowe's or Walmart.
Then cut them into the shape you want, in my case my mom did a quatrefoil (my sororities symbol).
Use the mod podge to stick the paint chips on the canvas how you want and in what order.
Let it dry and there ya have it! A lovely new piece of simple art work with no drawing or painting required!

Happy Crafting!
Always,
Mel =)

First Planned Event! Phi Mu Family Weekend!!

Well I survived my first planned event!
It wasn't really a large event but I put a lot of time into it and I am pleased!
I couldn't have done it without our Parents Association Board Members or my trusty assistant! They were all amazing and everyone had a good time!
Here are some pictures of both of our events!
